He was born in 1968. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration in 1989. He completed his master's degree (Finance) at the University of Illinois in 2002.
He worked as Assistant Inspector of Finance in 1991-1995, Finance Inspector in 1995-2001 and Finance Chief Inspector in 2001-2003.
In August 2003, he was appointed as the Commissioner of Department at General Directorate of Revenues. After the establishment of the Turkish Revenue Administration, he continued to serve as the Turkish Revenue Administration Group President. He was appointed as the Turkish Revenue Administration Head of Department in January 2006, the Chairman of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board on 08.12.2007, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Revenue Administration on 02.09.2009 and the Tax Auditing Board of the Ministry of Finance on 04.08.2011. While continuing this duty, he was appointed as the Commissioner of the Turkish Revenue Administration with the Decree published in the Official Gazette dated 02.05.2014.
Adnan ERTÜRK is married with two children and speaks English as a foreign language.
