Meeting with NGOs in the Fight Against Informal Economy

“Meeting with NGOs in the Fight Against Informal Economy” was held by Turkish Revenue Administration in January 2018 with the participation of public institutions, civil society organizations and academicians in Ankara.


Vice president of Revenue Administration Mr. Semi OKUMUŞ has made the first speech of the workshop by mentioning about high quality service given by TRA, achievements with regards to increasing tax compliance and continuous developments in the TRA.


Mr. OKUMUŞ has also stated that due the project which is about to end, there has been made various works with regards to measure informal economy in Turkey, to increase tax compliance, to enhance administrative capacity, to develop service quality and so on.


Head of Department of Revenue Administration Mr. Faruk GÖZÜBÜYÜK has made a presentation containing a summary of reasons and consequences of informal economy; action plans with regards to it and progress has been made so far.


Additionally, Mr. Emre KARTALOĞLU from Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants in Turkey, tax consultant of Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen Mr. S. Cüneyt YEŞİLKAYA and Professor of Marmara University Economics Department Mrs. Gülay YILMAZ have made their speeches with regards to fight against informal economy.


In the end of the workshop, plates were distributed to the participants for their contributions during the project.
