          In February 2018, the "Closing Conference" of the "Technical Assistance for Fight Against Informal Economy and Improvement of Administrative Capacity of the Turkish Revenue Administration" was carried out with the participation of the representatives of public institutions and organization, non-governmental organizations, native and foreign academicians and press members.

          In the closing meeting of "Informal Economy Combating and Revenue Administration in Enhancing Administrative Capacity Building Technical Assistance Project", Mr. Deputy Finance Minister Cengiz YAVİLİOĞLU has made a speech about the general agenda of Turkey, economic developments and the struggles regarding informal economy.

        Mr. Adnan ERTURK, President of Revenue Administration, has been evaluating the importance of combatting informal economy, the work done in the context of the struggle against informality and the progress in the struggle.

         European Union Delegation to Turkey Commerce Vice President Laura Zampetti has talked about efficient works to fight against informal economy in Turkey and the downward trend with regards to it; also stated that effective cooperation will be maintained in the future in this end.

           PwC President of Turkey Mr. Haluk Yalçın has made a presentation containing important headlines such as expectations for global economic growth; economic, political, social and environmental factors seen as a threat to this growth potential; economic trends shaping world’s economy and evaluation of Turkey in global economy.   

         Head of Department of Turkish Revenue Administration Mr. Faruk GÖZÜBÜYÜK has made a presentation about all works in the scope of "Technical Assistance for Fight Against Informal Economy and Improvement of Administrative Capacity of the Turkish Revenue Administration" and overall outputs of this project.

          Academicians and experts have shared results of the “measuring the size of informal economy in Turkey” study which has been conducted by considering specific factors to Turkey.

          As for the measurement of the informal economy and the perception of voluntary tax compliance costs on taxpayers in Turkey, results of the survey conducted with 2,000 taxpayers and 4,000 citizens has evaluated.

          In the moderation of Revenue Administration Vice President Yıldırım BOZBIYIK, legislative gap in combatting informal economy and taxation regimes were discussed by academicians and tax experts.
