In February 2018, the "Closing Conference" of the "Technical Assistance for Fight Against Informal Economy and Improvement of Administrative Capacity of the Turkish Revenue Administration" was carried out with the participation of the representatives of public institutions and organization, non-governmental organizations, native and foreign academicians and press members.
“Meeting with NGOs in the Fight Against Informal Economy” was held by Turkish Revenue Administration in January 2018 with the participation of public institutions, civil society organizations and academicians in Ankara.
Vice president of Revenue Administration Mr. Semi OKUMUŞ has made the first speech of the workshop by mentioning about high quality service given by TRA, achievements with regards to increasing tax compliance and continuous developments in the TRA.
In January 2018, , a workshop regarding analyzing Turkish tax legislation and determining the legislative gap which causes informality was organized in Afyon with the participation of selected TRA and PwC staff. During the workshop, evaluations and suggestions have been shared in the topics following:
- Tax legislation in Turkey, legislation in concern with revenue and expense, other regulations related to tax legislation were evaluated separately.
Finance Minister Naci AĞBAL made his speech concerning Turkey’s agenda, the configuration law, importance of fighting the informal economy and the improvements provided in this area.
